Description
This Enicar Sherpa Graph is an excellent example of a rare and desirable sports chronograph from the late 1960’s. We’ve calculated that the year of manufacture is 1968 and that’s accurate as far as we can tell.
There are very few of these MkIV Sherpa Graphs on the market and none with the clarity of dial and hands that this one has. It is all original and in excellent condition – there are some scratches to the case back worthy of comment but it’s still better than most of the few that are out there.
There are some very interesting things about this watch, apart from the fact that F1 champion Jim Clark wore one. It was the first chronograph to feature a ‘Panda’ dial (black background with white sub dials). It also featured the famous Valjoux 72 movement which was used in early Rolex Daytonas.
The Valjoux 72 has just serviced by a specialist and then tested by Rolex certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co and it is running and functioning well.
