Breitling Superocean 44

This Breitling Superocean 44 was bought new in 2015 and was a one owner watch until we bought it recently. The stainless steel case and rubber strap are in genuinely excellent condition and as you can see from the photos, the dial and hands are unmarked.  The case is the correct shape having not been overpolished and the finish to the case sides and lugs looks to be to factory spec.

This is a lovely example of a 44mm stainless steel dive watch from one of the most famous watch manufacturers in the world.  It uses a fully COSC-certified self-winding Swiss Breitling Calibre 17 date movement, which is based on a famous Valjoux.  It’s renowned for being both accurate and robust.

The rubber strap has some handling marks that show that it has been worn but it’s not damaged or tired.

Complete with the box and papers as well as books, cards and tags that Breitling supply with their watches.

The movement has just been tested by Rolex certified watchmakers Michlmayr & Co  and this Breitling Superocean 44 runs within COSC spec with very strong amplitude. It won’t need another service for some years.
